Our Fixing Solutions
Our team of experienced professionals is dedicated to ensuring that every aspect of your Production project runs efficiently and smoothly. Explore our services below:
Key Resources
We have an extensive network of diverse specialist resources across a broad spectrum of disciplines, allowing us quick and easy access to resources that most Production and Fixing companies would otherwise experience limitations in accessing.
This enables us to provide for special and unique, out-of-the-ordinary production requests.
Line Production
Line Production is an integral part of the fixing services we provide - professional and committed to efficiency and cost effective Productions and Budgets.
By combining our expertise in key elements of Research, Locations, Crew and other aspects all the way down to Catering, our Line Production is efficient and effective, and can seamlessly integrate with your companies Production Management.
Research
With the expertise and life experiences of our select team members, we compliment research in diverse fields tailored for each Project.
There are very few fields of research where we cannot contribute significantly towards your Projects. Often we provide information not yet published or commonly known, thus augmenting your Research teams knowledge.
Locations
With a combined 50+ years of experience in travel, tourism, scientific research and fixing services, we have an incredible database of locations across southern Africa and abroad, with good relationships between us and the location landowners/local authorities.
Many locations are privately owned and only accessible through us, giving us the edge in seeking unique locations.
Permits
Not all filming requires permits, however, where permits are required, mostly Government entities, we have solid relationships with issuing authorities, and a thorough understanding of the requirements and processes for the granting of such permits.
Permits range from land-use and access, to drone permits, animal permits and public spaces, to name but a few.
Insurances
Every Project has different Insurance requirements. We provide tailored Insurance for each shoot : Public Liability, Employers Liability, Personal Accident, Passenger Liability, and Gear Insurance.
Foreign Production Companies can be listed as co-insured on our Policies. Some locations, such as Government entities, will not allow filming without the required local Public Liability cover in place.
Travel
All Travel requirements can be arranged by us, from flights (commercial and chartered) to vehicle hire and transfers.
It always works out more cost effective for such travel requirements to be sourced locally through our preferred reputable suppliers than directly from abroad. We also have direct access to the required back-up services offered by the suppliers.
Visas
All foreign crew are required to obtain Visa Release Letters issued by FIVA (www.filmvisa.com). These letters enable crew to legally work in South Africa without having to go through the cumbersome process of obtaining the normal Temporary Work Visas issued by SA Embassies abroad.
We can provide these Letters within 24hrs of application. These letters are particularly important in the event of an insurance claim involving a crew member working legally in South Africa.
Accommodation
Having a history in both Tourism and Fixing, we are able to secure the most suitable production accommodation required at very good rates, with additional extras where required.
In most places we have preferred suppliers who have consistently provided the standard of accommodation expected for our crew, and where such accommodation may not be available, we are able to negotiate the best rates and services with alternative suppliers.
Gear Rental
South Africa’s film industry is well developed, and we thus have gear rental facilities providing up-to-date gear in quality condition.
Although most rental rates are fixed, we are able to negotiate competitive rates through long-term relationships we have with the various rental facilities. Back-up service is provided, and insurance on the gear can be provided as required.
Crew Provision
It's quite simple – we work with the best crew in SA, skilled and selected for specific Project needs.
We look after our crew exceptionally well, as without them giving 100%, the final product would never be 100%. Camera, Sound, DIT, you name it, our select local crew exceed International Standards, waiting for our next Project to work on.
Catering
Good food makes a happy crew! All catering needs are accounted for when planning a shoot, either through restaurant facilities or private catering.
In remote locations where only self-catering is available, we can even do the catering ourselves!
All dietary requirements are considered and catered for, even specialized diets. This is specifically important where cultural requirements and allergies are concerned.
